How To Teach Setting In Volleyball

The second part of how to teach setting in volleyball focuses on the arms. The player’s arms should be in a neutral position, so the setter is ready to raise them up to their forehead to set.

This helps prevent the arms of the player from dangling down by their side waiting to do something. The setter then brings her hands up so they can make contact with the volleyball right in front of their forehead.

This way the setter is looking directly at the ball while also having a view of the hitter she wants to set the ball to.
